Other achievements include Highly Commended placings in the BBC/British Gas Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition and winning shots in the 2000 and 2002 Agfa Wildlife Photographer of the Year, Blue Earth 2000, Geographical Magazine Photographer of the Year 2000, Ocean Realm Magazine Marine Photo 2000, Diver Magazine Image 2001 and 2003 and Subios 2004.

1998 saw the launch of Mark's first book "The Art and Technique of Underwater Photography" published by Fountain Press.

Mark has also contributed to many other publications including: "The Blue" (a UNESCO publication celebrating the year of the Ocean in 1998), Reef Fishes and Corals of the Red Sea (New Holland),  the Diving Guide to the British Isles and Northern Europe (White Star), The Blue Planet (BBC), Diving and Snorkeling the Red Sea (Lonely Planet), One Planet (Lonely Planet), Oxford Guide to the Camera (OUP).

Mark's latest publications include 'Diving and Snorkeling Belize' (Lonely Planet) and 'Passions - Scuba Diving' (Duncan Baird). Beneath Cornish Seas (Alison Hodge pbl) published in Janauary 2009.

During the last sixteen years Mark has hosted regular workshops in underwater photography in the Red Sea, Caribbean, Thailand and Indonesia and has gained a reputation for passing on his skills and advice in an informal and productive manner. Mark writes regularly for Diver magazine in the UK and his work has featured in many diving, photographic and wildlife publications, including: Diver, Dive International, Dive, Sport Diver, Scuba World, Scuba Dive and Travel, Tauchen, Underwater Photography, UWF, Oceans, Ocean Realm, Skin Diver, Scuba Diver, Sport Divers Journal, Asian Diver, Subsea, Amateur Photographer, Practical Photography, Geographical Magazine.

Mark regularly gives presentations on underwater photography at trade shows and seminars including Visions in the Sea and the London International Dive Show. Mark's work was also featured at the National Museum of Photography Film and Television, Bradford, during the museum's tenth anniversary celebrations and in a current touring exhibition of his work "A Bit of a Dive".

Mark's wife and model Susanna forms half of a successful team whether they are competing, teaching or undertaking commercial assignments at locations as diverse as Egypt, Thailand, Myanmar, Indonesia, South Korea, the Balearics, Canary islands, Caribbean, Norway or their home waters around Cornwall and the UK.
